NTL/Telewest Free Wireless Router
Hi All,
This was taken from another forum. All you have to do is ring up NTL or Telepest which ever is your service provider and ask them about the free wireless router offer, after asking this they will immediatley know what you are talking about and proceed to dispatching one to your address. Note: You will have to renew your 12 month contract with the service to claim your `free` router.
I`ve ordered mine just a few minutes ago and will arrive in 3 days 8)
RE: NTL/Telewest Free Wireless Router
Thanks... just ordered mine. Never mentioned anything about having to take out a new 12 month contract like its been said on other forums. My old router was one of the first + really slow, so this is great for nowt... :D
RE: NTL/Telewest Free Wireless Router
Off another forum people who already have received theirs said its a NetGear WGR614V6 . Dont know if this is true or not but its great for nothing. :D
RE: NTL/Telewest Free Wireless Router
Who did you sepak to in NTL as I have just rung customer services who know nothing about this (rollseyes)
RE: NTL/Telewest Free Wireless Router
I am on Telewest and they acknowledged immediatley. I have heard that NTL start talking about a merger between them and Telewest on 4th Feb and thats when it will be available to NTL customers. But this could be a load of bulls*** that they are saying to get you off the phone :D
RE: NTL/Telewest Free Wireless Router
:( Hi, I rang Telewest for one of these but they wont let me have one as I am on a free one month upgrade of 4MB speed broadband, they say I can only have one of these if I upgrade when my free offer finishes on 4th Feb. and that will cost me £25 a month instead of the present £14.99 a month. :o
Tried today - they said it`s only for Telewest customers. They `don`t work` with NTL`.... :/ >:(
Ste
We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

lol, sorry, but i would have had to ask them why :D then let them mumble on for a bit before saying you know full well they work just fine :)
RE: NTL/Telewest Free Wireless Router
What phone number did you call? I have been dialling 150 and end up on hold for up to 20 Min`s at a time.
I finally got through and was told I would only get the free router if I upgraded to 10mb per month at a £10 increase in my payment. Stingy bastards. Told them I was going to leave as they were offering me no incentive to stay. I have been with them since the mid 90`s.
