Hey nice one for the advice on the remote. I took a chance on it. Ordered it yesterday, arrived this morning (super fast delivery). When i was carrying out the instructions the things that should have happend didn`t (i.e. Message on the DVD player `Timer Ok` or `Successful`) but R1 dvd`s work non the less! so its great! Thank you once again!

Hi, you say it worked fine on your Sony DVD player. Was it as easy as pressing the red button on the remote and 10 seconds later it done??? did you send the remote back and get your 4 quid cash back? and do you know where i can find out more about using a PDA to hack my DAV-DZ410 as I too have been trying to get answers on how to go about doing this as you can see here

Orite mate, nice one for the reply I thought I would never get one! I have both the DAV-DZ410 and the RDR-HXD560 and both of them need hacking. I`ve looked at the service remote option and would go for that that as a last resort. Do you think that you could elaborate a little more on the IR and PDA option (just brief explanation of the process and what sort of things i would need to do) as I have been a member of avforums for a while now but i`ve never seen anything about region hacks, if you could also point me in the right direction as where i can find the info that i need in the forum. Your help and advice are much appreciated. Cheers man!

This is taken from another forum, and its MAJOR.

do exactly as below dont click other things etc.

follow the link, click "add to basket" on one of the PAYG packages at the top.

once the next page loads, hit back on your browser.

now go to the sim only option at the bottom of the page. and add to basket.

the next screen should confirm what you have selected and a phone will appear on your order, with the price fields and charges all free.

continue on through the order. and wait on your new free phone.

NOTE: I tried this about an hour ago and made 2 attempts which worked my third was declined. The `glitch` has been active for atleast 24 hours with thousands of people having got a piece of the pie. The O2 website has been down a few times but has started up again. So keep checking the link to see if its up.

I am on Telewest and they acknowledged immediatley. I have heard that NTL start talking about a merger between them and Telewest on 4th Feb and thats when it will be available to NTL customers. But this could be a load of bulls*** that they are saying to get you off the phone :D

All you have to do is ring up NTL or Telepest which ever is your service provider and ask them about the free wireless router offer, after asking this they will immediatley know what you are talking about and proceed to dispatching one to your address. Note: You will have to renew your 12 month contract with the service to claim your `free` router.

HELP: PC to TV Connection Problems

Hi All,

So basically I have a `Composite Out` on my computer from which I am running a Composite cable to my TV. I start my PC up and no image on the TV yet when windows fully loads up, so Im thinking fair enough I need to tweak some settings first.

So I open up the display properties > under settings tab > select `monitor 2` > check the box labelled `Extend my windows desktop onto this monitor` and then save all by clicking `OK` then I see a little activity on my TV but only ends up with a full screen of light blue. Now its at this point where I cant progress any further.

Just an example from a random website of what I was looking at in Display Settings

I`ve tried everything I can think of including messing around with Nvidia settings but still cant seem to get a proper display. Can any one forward any suggestions, thank you in advance for any advice!

At very top we have bramstokers dracula (upsidedown thing), just beneath that we have a critter, then the terminator, Alien, beneath alien is leather face, left of leatherface is jason, next left is IT, next left is mike myers, below is freddy, to the right is Candyman (notice the hook), next is chucky, above him is pin head, then to the right is predator, bottom right corner is possibly jeepers creepers, next left is scream, next left is possibly wishmaster, next left is the crow, thats all i can desipher. The 3 at the top i aint got a clue of and also the bottom left just above crow.

HELP: Sharp VL-Z7 Unique AV to Phono Leads

Hi All,

I have a problem. I have lost my AV to Phono lead which also had a usb counterpart on it. It is a unique lead i think in the sense that the AV connector is different to any other that i have seen. Does any one have the same camcorder or a sharp camcorder that has the same sort of AVconnector?

I have been to the end of the World Wide Web and back but i cant find any supplier. Any suggestions?

HELP: Dell Original Monitor Needed

Hi All

Recently I have been making a video editing suite of my Dell Dimension 4600, i`ve come across a problem! my monitor is the original style 17" TFT and now Dell have bought out a new style standard monitor. I wanted to do a Dual Screen setup but now it will look very odd. Does any one know of any place where i can buy this original monitor?
