Tesco are currently selling metal gear solid 2 for the bargain price of £29.61 (although it does say £26.91 at first) and even with the £1.75 p&p its still the best price i`ve seen :-)

does say £38.29 now but if u click on it the £29.61 price still comes up, i just bought one and thats all i was charged.

it`s cheaper cos tesco are doing a VAT free offer on entertainment stuff. offer ends sunday 3rd march

Tesco`s vat free price is supposed to be only £26 odd, however they now appear to have realised their mistake, and when you click to order it comes up as `error on page`. The only way you can actually get to put it in your basket now, causes it to come out at £44.95 or thereabouts...........Shame.

You should be able to get it for approx £26 +p&p. The site has had problem but yesterday managed to get the price above

Actually tried again today, but could only get the £29 odd. How did you get to the £26 bit?

I ordered MGS2 on Tuesday night after I had read about it on this forum.
I got charged £26.91 for it plus £1.75 P&P taking it to £28.66 total.
I got an email of acceptance from them too.
Lets hope they honour the price as at that price it seems too good to be true.
The cheapest I`ve seen it for is £34.99.

They do this from time to time - I have bought Gran Turismo 3 and Pro Evo Soccer in previous VAT Free offers for about £27 delivered - looks to be exactly the same again

Good job I ordered it when I did.
I`ve just been on the Tesco website and out of curiousity clicked on MGS2,it now says Sorry,Temporarily out of stock.
Lets hope I don`t get an e-mail now saying I`ll have to wait until they get more stock.
Just have to wait and see now

Annemarie, i`ve just e-mailed tesco to query this, as the item cannot be `temporarily out of stock` as it is effectively a pre-order, as this game is not due for release until the 8th of March. Seems to me they just don`t want to honour the price!
