Remember the Immortal Edition is EXACTLY the same as the cheap edition bar it is in a metal tin and complete with a Queen CD - up to each person to determine whether they want the tin and CD for the extra cost

Ive now got immortal edition & I would say it wasnt worth the extra but I would still buy it agian ! As you do !!

I sold my R2 DD5.1 Version on ebay for £10 but to be honest the DTS convesion is not what I expected but then all DTS films are now a bit of a let down compared to the opening scenes in "Saving Private Ryan DTS"

But saying that, if I didnt buy the immortal edition, it would be eating me up until I did :0)

Sad & Addicted to DVD`s

(Maybe Robert Palmer should re do his famous song)

So, let me see if I`ve got this right...

The bog standard DVD which has been out for years has nothing on it apart from the standard film. Cost £7.99

The new Anchor Bay (non-Immortal version) is THX, uncensored directors cut, deleted scenes, anamorphic etc etc. Cost £10.99 ish

The Immortal Edition has all the features of the standard Anchor Bay version plus Queen music videos and a Queen CD. Oh, and a metal tin. Cost £17.99 ish.

Have I missed anything ? Are there any other versions I should consider? Which has the best transfer? Help!

Put it this way, If you havent got an amp/receiver get the £7.99 version, if you have & its got a DTS decoder then get either of the other versions, the immortal edition is definately NOT worth an extra £7.00. The "TIN" case is well, hmm lets see, CHEEP & TACKY and isnt even a case, more like a shroud which, as its tin will come with a nice dent free of charge !! & the CD only has the THREE track from the movie on it

To be honest, I remember it a a brilliant film, but sadly its now dated & goes on the same shelf as my first blood collection

Lee (still buying the oldies to replace my videos & spending a fortune)

Thanks Lee...
I`ll probably end up getting the Immortal Edition anyway since it`s got the three Queen videos on it... already got the Queen audio tracks on another CD, so not worried about that, but the videos would be good.

Still think it`s a fantastic film, okay it`s aged, but at 16 years old, not nearly as badly as some others from that era. Shame it got its reputation ruined by some dreadful sequels and a naff TV series.

Or, you could order Heartbreakers from http://www.dvdsoon.com, wait 12 days, then when your order arrives, open it to find a copy of Highlander! Which by the way, I already have!
