Occasional pauses playing "A knights tale"

steves (Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 3rd September 2002, 12:36

Hi Just purchased a Scan 2500 player.

Playing "a knights tale" you get occasional pauses every 5-10 minutes.

Watched a couple of episodes of Fawlty Towers, no problems there. Few other DVDs to try. Any suggestions what the problem could be.

Obviously will try the disc in a friends machine and vice-versa.

I also recently purchased a scan 2500. I have watched my region 1 Knights Tale without a problem. Is yours R1 or 2. If you are watching R1 your regional settings may need to be altered or the video settings in the on screen menus(this I have set on auto). Ithink A Knights Tale Is supposed to be RCE so you may need to follow the instructions that you were given to you when you bought your player( the A4 sheet that contained the region hack).

Hope this info may have been of use.

Buying the scan 2500 has breathed new life into my dvd collection as I can now hear the 5.1 chn output, it also allows me to play back DTS sound through a non-specific sony home cinema amp system(Fantastic).
