X-Files Gift Box

I just received this morning my X-Files dvd box. This was a free gift if you collected all 9 series and sent back the coupons to prove that you had done so.

The only thing is ALL 9 SERIES wont fit in this flimsy cardboard box with its cheap crappy plastic lid. You can only fit 8 in it.

Thanks for your replies, it does appear that both regions have the same running time after all. I was worried that I`d missed out on an hours worth of excellent sci-fi and was prepared to fork out another £17.99 to see it.

Farscape the Peace Keeper Wars box set.

R1 version on play is £8.99 and the playing time is 182 minutes long.
However the R2 version at £17.99 has a running time of 4 hours 7 minutes (247 mins) a full 1 hour 5 minutes longer, is this correct? Can anyone shed any light on this???

Soundtrack probs on re-release x-files disks

Has any one else noticed the sound track on season 3 to be dodgy. I am playing it on a scan sc 2500 player, the music track is clear enough but the dialogue seems a million miles away (very quiet and echoey).

I also have season 1 and 2 both of which play perfectly.

I have bought the set in 2 different shops in different towns incase it was a faulty batch in the first shop. However before I rush out to swap it again, I thought I`d check if maybe it`s just my equipment at fault....

Alien v Predator has been rated by the BBFC as a 15. (Praise the Lord no small children). But what does this mean? Is it going to be better than it was first thought to be?

Lets hope so for the sake of the franchise....

Yes use a router, I use a US Robotics Broadband router bought from Scan.com for around £40. I have 3 pc`s plugged into it using blueyonder 1mg and they run well with no probs at all. There is a slot for a forth pc also...Each pc has it`s own connection so it is not neccessary to have them all switched on, you can use them individually. You can also plug your printer into it and share the printer, for this you will have to install some simple software.

You will find this the most simple and effective way of doing what you wish to do.

You will have to let your ISP know the MAC address of the router (this information will probably be on the box) before you can connect to the internet with it but you will only need to do this once...

You pc may simply be overheating. I recenly purchased a pc for my son. But he wanted more ram and better gfx card so I rushed of to scan and purchased these and fitted them. Thats when the trouble started. The pc would intermittently shut down and re-boot fro no apparent reason. However I found that if I uninstalled the new driver and rteinstalled the the old gfx card the pc worked fine,or at least I thought it did!!! After reassembling the case and the pc being fine for a while I thought all was well but then it would re-boot again. So uninstall old reinstall new. This was to continue fro several days until it was suggested that the pc maybe overheating, now he sits with the case off playing away to his hearts content until he`s enough money for a case fan.

That is very strange indeed....I have no probs with it at all.
Which folder did you put the short cut in? I put it in c:blah blah programfiles...eagames...MOHAA Dont go any further than this one. You should be asked if you want to replace the existing one if you are not asked then you are putting it in the wrong directory.

I suggest you go to this link and dowload the no cd patches for mohaa v1.11 and moh spearhead v 2.15

Once you have unzipped the files and placed the short cuts in the correct location (these should come with a readme file to assist you) . You will not need your CD`s again to start the game...Problem solved ....HOPEFULLY

Have ordered this film from play.com, region 1.

It was posted on 14 May but it hasn`t arrived yet. According to play it`s not officially lost until 14 days after the date it was posted but I have never waited this long for a dvd from them.

I would be interested to know if anyone else is still waiting for their copy or have already received it. FROM PLAY ONLY please.

I bought my copy in TESCO. I watched the movie on my scan dvd player and it played OK. But the second disk doesn`t work.. I get the menu`s but I cannot navigate through them. So I tried it on my old Samsung 709 that I banished to the bedroom and it worked perfectly. So are the disks faulty or are some dvd players incompatible with these second disks???

BTW wont bother replacing my set, having watched the extras once I doubt I`ll bother to watch them again!!!

The Ring

On the Region 1 version of The Ring at the main menu you will find the video that is supposed to kill you 7 days later.

Go to the right side of the menu and press down on your remote until the cursor disappears and press play.

The best part is you cannot pause or stop it once it is started, ideal to scare the crap out of the unsuspecting especially when the phone rings on your rear speakers....

This code works. Almost the same as the one posted by Glenn Payne earlier but step 5 arrow points the correct way(this may have mislead you). I also struggled to hack this player with the official code on page 20 or 21 of the hack pages. But trust me this one worked perfectly first time.

Region 2 Special edition has a re-mastered picture especially for dvd, extras and a DTS soundtrack and is available from play.com for around about £7. Can`t go wrong really!!

Funnily enough I forgot to leave a disk in when I entered the code and it worked anyway. Good player though . Maybe they should rename this one as after all the effort to hack Bermuda Triangle seems more apt than Pacific.

Every time I open the drawer to put a disk in I find myself strangely drawn to the Microwave. Does anyone know if that annoyingly loud "DING" can be disabled?? Thanx guys
