I am findin Happy Hunter And Price Checker at least a month out of date in there prices. Anyone else finding this? Finding it a waste of time using them anymore.
Yup, most of the titles I`ve searched for have been incorrect in the last few weeks. It`s mostly on box sets though, at least in my experience as that`s what I was looking for.
Mine weren`t box sets. Namely they were "The Bounty", Robin and Marian", Nicholas and Alexandra", "Royal Hunt of the Sun" and, (yesterday only, I guess) "Harry Potter" at Play for £9.99. All still have the old prices, weeks after the new cheaper ones.
RE: Price Checkers Out of Date
I use dvdpricechecker on a regular basis and have only come across one example where the price was out of date.
All the above still are, a month later!
Still they are both out of date. "Total Recall" is £9.99 at Play. Happy Hunter and Price Check still have it at £13.99.
RE: Price Checkers Out of Date
I cannot see any problems with the prices for Total Recall at Play, all our prices seem to align with those at play. Prices for Total Recall seem to range from 11.99 - 13.99, I can see no 9.99 title ??
If you do find any problems with prices not being aligned then please use the bug report link on the DVDPriceCheck site and I will investigate. For some retailers the prices may be a few days out due then being cached/updated every few days. Any major inconsistencies are investigated and corrected ASAP - I have recently suspended a search for a supplier as they were giving us an incorrect datafeed - we do aim to be as up-to-date as possible.
Have a happy christmas,

Thanks for the response, Mark. Very welcome.
Unfortunately some are still out of date. For instance at Splash "Nicholas and Alexander" and "Robin and Marian " are £7.99 and have been for a month. Likewise at Splash "The Bounty" is £5.99 but shoiws up as £14.95 on Price Checker. This is several weeks now.
"Total Recall" was at £9.99 at Play (Paul Ross` Hot Picks on left of page) for the past three days, but now reverted back to its old price today. Also at Play was "Harry Potter" last week, but didn`t show up on Price Checker as such. Once again it was in Paul Ross` bit.
That said, thanks for Price Checker, as without it I would be a very poor person indeed. Thanks.
RE: Price Checkers Out of Date
Just checked the latest datafeed from Splash and indeed the prices look wrong. I`ve emailed them to make sure that they keep the feed up-to-date.
Thanks again,

Mark,
Excellent site. One point though is that now with more and more discs being 2 disc sets, although you say on the site that the shipping is based on a single disc, is it not possible to be supplied with the shipping cost for the actual disc quoted? Quite a few sites pretty much double their shipping costs for just having an extra disc in the case!
I think more accurate shipping prices would a)reduce wasting time getting to the order page only to discover the shipping is double the price quoted on your site and also b) highlight the sites that make you think their discs are cheaper but rip us off on shipping.
eg, Memento from dvdorchard shows shipping of $8.5 but on order it`s $15. That`s another 50% on top of the disc price.
Cheers,
Ste
