Page 1 of Blakes 7 Release - Delayed...

Why oh why oh why... this has really P1ssed me off!!! i was looking forwards to the release this week, only to now find it put back until 31st March 2003.

How dare they???

Hey man, you can get your `Blake 7` fix on `UK gold` and tape it on, dare I say it `VHS` tape. That will keep you going till the DVD`s come out.

Funny thing was I liked `Blake 7` only after Blake had left and Avon started to get into his `Over The Top` acting role.

Mind you, Servalan, she was a right stunner, worth the DVD money for her alone.

Don`t suppose there`s any plans to release that other Terry Nation classic - Survivors?

I just loved Blakes 7, but Survivors was in a league of it`s own.
For the moment will have to make do with my UK Gold VHS copies.

UK Gold have stopped transmitting their eternally looping repeats of Blakes 7 as of a couple of months ago. I`m sure it will return eventually (perhaps after the series has been released on DVD he added cynically).

already got all four seasons (plus 4 feature lengths) on VHS, but `NEED` to get DVD....

I`ve read somewhere that the first season may be delayed until June now, apparently that is what the BBC have said.

See that Survivor series, was there ever a finish?

I remember it going on and on and on with no end.

Well there were three series and 38 epsiodes I seem to remember. It never had a proper `ending` as we know it, more of a series end - presumably they were expecting a fourth series to be made so it left things open in that sense.

They made their way to a hydro-electric plant in Scotland and switched the electricity back on... For me the `end` came a couple of episodes before in the superb `Last Laugh` episode where Greg got killed off.

OK so has anyone got this yet. Noticed it in Sunday Mirror`s DVD of the week section. I believe its just Series 1 comprising 13 episodes. Have only checked play £37.99 and amazon £37.48. Will check my piggy bank tonight.

I have it, but like many others are reporting there is a major authoring fault with the discs. Basically they freeze at the layer change which occurs about half way through the second episode on each disc. The people who authored the discs are working on them in order to fix it for the next batch of discs and there will probably be a swap programme for those of us who have got the discs already. Mind you not all machines are suffering from the problem but a great deal of them are.
