Carry On - Special Editions?

dvd_vicar (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 4th March 2003, 07:55

I thought the SEs now being released were to be widescreen, or at least not cropped - now reviews and suppliers are listing 4:3.

Can anyone please confirm?

Look at www.carryonline.com - the official Carry On Site.
The Message Board has all the details direct from Carlton and the Webmaster has reviews.

All the five released so far are WS, but while three are anamorphic two are not. The three that were previously 4:3 (Abroad, Again Doctor, and Don`t Lose Your Head) are now WS 16:9, while the two previously released as 4:3 LBX (Doctor and Follow That Camel) are unfortunately the same as before. Presumably Carlton will do the same with the remainder, though that`s only a guess, but it`s unfortunate (!) they have not all been done as anamorphic.
