Page 1 of Inter video win dvd HELP!!!

Hi

Could anyone PLEASE advise me out of this problem! I have `Inter video win dvd` on my computer, but it is currently locked to a certain region therefore I cannot watch some VCD`s/DVD`s. Is there somewhere I can download a crack or can I download a alternative program that will play anything.

Try this http://www.inmatrix.com/ follow link for DVD GENIE download. It says it resets region code count . I`ve downloaded but not actually used it yet so I can`t say if it works or not.

Just to pre-empt some answers that may pop up, DVDgenie won`t work. For some reason, multi-region DVD-ROM programs only work on ROM`s that aren`t region locked. Which kind of defeats the object of downloading a multi-region program...

region locking has been mandatory on dvd-roms since about 1999 otherwise genie would work (on the software) however there is a way around it do a search for firmware (making ABSOLUTLY sure you enter the specific brand & model no) and upgrade the firmware on the drive with a "friendlier" version but be warned if you use the wrong firmware you can fry the drive beyond repair
