Page 1 of Am I the only one who thinks the Sixth Sense was rubbish ***warning - SIGNS/6th SENSE SPOILERS***

The Sixth Sense has to be one of the most hyped films ever and in my opinion has to be one of the worst. The less said about that annoying little boy the better.
Anyone else think the way I do.

I didn`t think it was that bad, it seemed consistent to its own story, the acting wasn`t terrible, and a little twist at the end.

I wouldn`t but it in my top 20 on ymdb though.

I didn`t think Sixth Sense was rubbish, but I didn`t think it was great either. It`s an average film, with a killer ending which lifts it to an "above average film", IMHO.

I much prefer Unbreakable (genius), and even Signs (although the least said about that ending the better ;-) ).

Unbreakable = very good...8/10
Signs = nearly as good...still 8/10
The Sixth Sense = average...5/10

So no, I didn`t love it either.

Maybe I was just pulled in by the ending. Then again, The Usual Suspects has a similar rug pulling ending, as does the others. maybe the sixth sense just gets the stick cos it made a star of osment and shyamalan, had willis in it and grossed about $700million, whereas The USual Suspects had pretty much small stars and director, and didn`t gross as much, it is a better film though, before you all shout at me.

and for those who moan about the ending of SIGNS, assuming it is about
well, if the aliens were allergic to water, why did they come to Earth, that is 70% water.

what about we consider that the aliens had never actually come into contact with water before, and thus wouldn`t realise they would be killed by it. thats feasible surely, unless of course you consider that life can`t exist without water. still, it`s a good point to state

Agree with Rik Booth. Unbreakable is far better!

Signs is 10/10, Unbreakable 9/10, Sixth Sense pants/10.

You`re not alone - highly over-rated...
