Page 1 of Best released film this year so far?

Start of January to end of August........

My favorite was the `Pirates of the Caribean` :)

Either Matrix Reloaded or Punch-Drunk Love. I liked X2 as well though. I`ve only seen fairly mainstream films this year.

I have to say I loved The Hulk, even though all my mates thought it sucked a biggun. Either that or The Hours.

either punch drunk love, which was fantastic or adaptation which i got on dvd last night, great stuff

I really enjoyed Cypher.

Whale Rider was probably the best I`ve seen.....

It has been a good year for film in my opinion. These are my favourites so far:

City Of God, Sympathy For Mr Vengeance, Catch Me If You Can, X2, Hulk, Punch-Drunk Love, Adaptation and Belleville Rendez-vous.

X2 is excellent, But I think Finding Nemo is a modern day masterpiece.

I`ve got a feeling Return of the King will be my film of the year, but so far its been X2.

I couldn`t stand punch drunk love - hardly any story, bad direction and Adam Sandler. eek.

I`ve only been to the cinema once in that time. I don`t enjoy going anymore to be honest. I`ll end up watching everything when they pop up on DVD though. I will make an effort to go and see ROTK though and I confidently proclaim that to be my film of the year (decade?).
