Oscar.
RE: Blair Witch...Question.
When they`re running around the woods, The showdown in the house at the end particularly.
It`s essential to watch in a darkened room, as it`s more Psychological(?) than anything.
I really enjoyed this film when it first came out. But that Heather girl really irritates me now, she completely overacts all the way through it and is constantly trying to upstage all the other actors.

RE: Blair Witch...Question.
i don`t think it`s scary....its just quite unsettling.....especially when you can hear the noises in the distance.....and the ending is very unsettling. the sequel ruined it though.
A lot of the original effect of the film is lost now, and when the film was released, the rumour that it was genuine footage was still doing the rounds. Showing the film on the small screen aids with the camcorder effect, but as you realise it`s 5 people running around the woods improvising on the spot it kinda ruins the effect somewhat.
It was complete and utter s*** full stop
If your running away from someone or something whats the first thing you do? DROP THE F***ING CAMERAS!!!!

RE: Blair Witch...Question.
I actually class Blair witch Project as the scariest film I`ve ever seen and I`m a massive horror fan.
The part in the house at the end really creeped me out and it bothered me for a few days after.
It all depend on what scares people. Some people find Scream and Nightmare On Elm Street scary but I tend to think there just fun to watch. However when it`s things that you can`t see (e.g. Balir Witch) that tends to really scare the sh*t out of me.
I can understand why people think it`s crap though!!
I agree, it`s about the scariest film I`ve seen too - possibly cos it`s just not that easy to dismiss it as hollywood schlock, which is one of the ways the sequel messed up, imho.
It`s scary in a Hitchcock-esque, "mess with the imagination" kind of way. :o
RE: Blair Witch...Question.
On my holiday trips to the US I`ve spent a lot of time camping pretty much alone off trail in the backwoods of National Parks in Tennessee, California etc. You hear things all of the time at night (animals of course) but they never really worried me. After watching Blair Witch I am seriously considering never going in a tent alone anywhere remote ever again. That`s why it was scary for me.
