2004 is gonna be a great year for cinema. Which films are you most looking forward to going to see and which do you think you will avoid like the plague?

• Kill Bill Vol 2
• Hellboy
• Van Helsing
• Kung Fu Hustle (Stephen Chow)
• Ong Bak
• Around the World in 80 Days (I`ve a funny feeling it`ll actually be good)
• Matrix Rev... oh wait, that was last year...

Casshern is top of my list but I`ll wait for the DVD, unless flights to Japan come down. In price, I mean.

In no particular order, the films I`ll definitely see at the cinema no matter what (with the exception of my death ;) ). And please note, some films listed are purely for morbid curiosity:

Star Wars Episode 3 trailer ;)
Shaun of the Dead
Kill Bill Vol 2
The Passion of the Christ
One Last Chance
Zatoichi
Starsky & Hutch (previews this weekend :D )
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
The Day After Tomorrow
Spider-Man 2
Monster
Troy
Hellboy
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King: Extended Edition
The Punisher (first trailer was s***, second rather good)
Van Helsing
Sponge Bob Square Pants: The Movie ;)
Sky Captain & The World of Tomorrow (if nothing else, it looks different)
King Arthur (Keira Knightley`s in it :D )
Thunderbirds (could be fun)
Alien Vs Predator (new trailer makes it look pretty good)
Shark Tale
Shrek 2
Harry Potter 3 (with the HACK Columbus gone, this might be better than the previous stilted efforts)
Around the World in 80 Days (Jackie Chan and Steve Coogan, with a sprinkling of Arnie ;) )
Dawn of the Dead
The Bourne Supremacy
The Terminal
Jersey Girl
Blade: Trinity
The Polar Express
The Stepford Wives
Collateral (lets hope it`s of the same calibre as Heat)
Constantine (please don`t be crap!)
Hidalgo
I, Robot
The Lady Killers
The Aviator
The Big Bounce
The Chronicles of Riddick
The Incredibles
The Village
Wimbledon

I`m sure I`ve missed out a lot, including lower key titles. But they only usually surface closer to the release date :)

Ben, I hadn`t heard of Casshern till I saw the link in another forum yesterday. All I know is that it`s out in cinemas next month, that it`s based on a manga, and that I want it NOW. :/

Scooby-Doo Too (Sue me, I enjoyed the first one).
Hellboy (Cool-looking tin Nazi)
Van Helsing (Anything that gets the Universal Classics out of mothballs)
Sky Captain & The World of Tomorrow (I`m a sucker for retro-pulp)
Thunderbirds (Arrrrrre Go!)
Shrek 2 (*pop*)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Wizard wheeze)
Around the World in 80 Days (Can Coogan balls this up?)
The Incredibles (Best trailer of the year)
The Cat In The Hat (Is it as crap as they say?)
The Passion of the Christ (Can I make my own decisions?)
Lemony Snicket (Jim Carrey)
Garfield (Love that cat)
Starsky & Hutch (Yes?)
Troy (Historical or hysterical?)
Kill Bill 2 (to make sense of Kill Bill 1 hopefully)
Monster (Charlize Theron`s Oscar Winner)
The Ladykillers (Can Hanks top Guiness`s finest hour?)
Catwoman (!)
Bad Santa (Read the script. Sounds astonishing).

I will be avoiding the following like the plague:
Spiderman 2 (1 was bad enough).
King Arthur (He`s probably the one who isn`t covered in sh*t)
Chronicles of Riddick (Vin Ordinaire - sorry - Diesel)
I Robot (I can`t stand Will Smith)
Alexander (one greek punch-up a year`s my limit and Troy got there first)
Shark Tale (Rrrrrrrip off)
Alien vs Predator (various scripts have been rattling around since the year dot).

Of course, I`m not going to the pictures to see any of them. I`m waiting for the DVD.

Do not be alarmed. That strange sound is simply
my mind boggling.

Shark Tale (Rrrrrrrip off)
As far as I know, it`s not a rip off as the film has been in production for an age. It`s just coincedence.
