Page 1 of Kill Bill 2 **Spoilers** - stuff i still don`t get...

ok it was a fun film, but nowhere near the `best film` Tarantino ever made - or perhaps ever will.

like one article i read once said, this film is merely `cinematic masturbation` on Tarantino`s part. why do i agree with this analysis? too many loose ends, things that are never explained:

1) why is hanzo p***ed at bill? so much so that he broke his oath to never make `instruments of death` simply to kill bill. maybe he mentioned this and i missed it?
2) why was bud p***ed at bill?
3) sorry but there is no way that kid BB is four.
4) for God`s sake Quentin, just watch the film closely before putting it out! tooo many bloody continuity errors. eg - end scene, Bill has blood running down his chin and neck/throat, and suddenly *kapow* it disappears. when he makes the kid a sandwich, he presses it down bloody hard and squishes the bread. next scene, perfect sandwich...next scene, squished again. also, she climbs out the grave and you see all the mud fall around her - then she lays down on the grave and no hole in sight. what gives?

twas a fun film, don`t get me wrong. ideally i think it should be watched together with the first episode - as it stands, all the major action took place in the first bit, and the cool dialog in the second.

if tarantino doesn`t stop this, he could go blind...

Im no expert but ...**no doubt spoilers ahoy here**

1) Id guess Hanzo is p***ed at Bill because he made all the swords for the Deadly Vipers, and as he said he `stopped making instruments of death` Id guess he feels responsible for all the deaths of all the people at the hands of the Deadly Vipers (the reason he made the vow to stop making the swords??...) Pai Mei was killed by Elle Driver of the Vipers so this might also be a reason...

2) I didnt think Budd was p***ed at Bill...more that he had also turned his back on the Vipers, and when he knew *beeeeep* ;) was after him he knew he was gonna die...I got the feeling he had regret for his former life and he was p***ed at that ..not Bill in particular

3) I`ll give you that one...lol

4) EVERY film has continuity errors....its part of film making, it always will be....even the greatest directors make those mistakes (and the ones in Kill Bill were VERY minor to some I could mention)

i remember the 3rd matrix i thought it was the worst film i ever saw but then i watched them all in one night and well i now love them all. also i have watched kill bill 30times and now i have seen vol 2 12 times the only bit that really got on my mind was bill was this guy who had a good sword but you never see him use his skills why can`t we see a massive sword fight with him

hmm not sure i agree with you about number 1 & 2 -

1) nothing but conjection - never a concrete reason given. just when beatrix tells bill she just had to mention his name to hanzo and he was ready to make the sword. bill then says stuff like yeah he is annoyed with me.

2) bill specifically states `you have got to stop being angry at me` or words to that effect.

maybe it will be explained in kill bill 3?

... or it will be explained in the full cut once all of the uncut scenes have been reinserted. ;)

hmmmm i dunno as the original reason the film was in two parts was to not cut any of the scenes at all so we should have the full story (aside from some gore).

But like I said in another thread about KB2, there was a big assasination chapter, involving a fight between Bill and US Martial artist Michael Jai White, that was removed. Check the original trailer to see what I mean, as there`s a clip of it in that (before they`d decided to cut it in two). There`s also something about another man getting a knife in the head, which was cut out. Some of your questions could be answered in those scenes, and they`re just the ones we know about. :D

Hopefully it`s winging its way to me now Saqib!; Looking forward to it, will let you know what I think when I get it. I`d been aware of it for ages, but never got around to buying it. Then I realised it was getting a Western cinema release, so decided that it was time to make that purchase (before Weinstein completely phases out the Asian DVDs!). :D

Hey don`t knock Weinstein, after all he did produce his first major film, the all time 80s horror classic The Burning ;)
