Charlies Angels (R1) & Wharfedale 750s
I`ve got a Wharfedale 750s (1st version).
I`m thinking of buying the Region 1 version of Charlies Angels but I understand this disk has RCE coding.
Will this work on my player ok? I have multi-region hacked it via the remote for all regions and know how to hack it to specific regions if needed.
Please help as I want to order the disk soon.
Thanks.

I think the 750s can cope with RCE disks, but only if you select the region first. Try renting/borrowing an RCE disk like hollow man/perfect storm/patriot(Mel Gibson version) and giving it a go before you invest your hard earned!
Have a shufty at this thread for more info.

Canary,
I have the 750S and also have Patriot and Hollow Man and both play perfectly in full multi-region mode - the Wharfedale laughs in the face of RCE :-)
So theres no need to manually select R1 to play RCE disks on this player.
Just for the record `The Perfect Storm` is *not* RCE encoded.
Current disks that are known to have RCE
The Patriot
Hollow Man
Thomas the tank engine - the magic railroad
South park the movie
Charlie Angels
The 6th day

Thanks for the info.
My mate has just got the film as is lending it to me to try tomorrow. Sound like I shouldn`t have too many problems by the sounds of things though!
I`ve only just got my Wharfie, it seems great to me despite some of the slagging off some people seem to give it on here. What do you think of yours (picture/sound etc)? Are there any problems or special tricks I need to know or possibly things to avoid?
Sorry to be a pain but i`m new to this lark!

Played my copy last night on my trusty Wharfedale with no problems whatsoever, apart from shortage of breath when Cameron & Drew were flashing the flesh.

No problem with Charlie`s angels what so ever, and I don`t even have the 750s. I have the 750 with the DTS logo (the third generation of the player).
Picture is great, I could tell the that much difference between it and my friend`s Sony 535. Sound is so-so, but thats comparing to my Marantz CD6000KI (£500) CD player.

According to Amazon.com it *is* a RCE title. I have always thought it was from the traffic on the Samsung 709 forums
Can someone confirm this?
