RE: Whats the best horror DVD
Personally I think that CANDYMAN (the 1st one) is the only film that had me very wary about turning the lights out, makes you jump quite a bit too! A true gore horror film.
Or possibly, STIGMATA, that`s rather sick too.
RE: S-Video to 3 Phono leads?
Thanks Mike,
Everything now becomes clear!!
I do have the adapter you mentioned. I`ll grab some phono cables soon.
I assume i won`t have too many problems once connected up!
S-Video to 3 Phono leads?
I`m trying to rig up my PC`s DVD card (Hollywood) to an old video recorder. The problem I have is that the output on the DVD card is S-Video but the inputs on my Video are old phono sockets.
I understand from Maplins that I need a lead with S-Video at one end and 3 phono`s at the other (1 video & 2 audio (left & right)). However, Maplins don`t do these.
Does anyone know where I can get this lead (if one exists!) and roughly how much it would be.
Thanks.
RE: F*ckin Hell DVD Box Office!
When DVD Box office ship the orders over to the UK, is there any Import duty to pay, or is that all sorted out?
Cheers.
RE: Charlies Angels (R1) & Wharfedale 750s
Thanks for the info.
My mate has just got the film as is lending it to me to try tomorrow. Sound like I shouldn`t have too many problems by the sounds of things though!
I`ve only just got my Wharfie, it seems great to me despite some of the slagging off some people seem to give it on here. What do you think of yours (picture/sound etc)? Are there any problems or special tricks I need to know or possibly things to avoid?
Sorry to be a pain but i`m new to this lark!
Charlies Angels (R1) & Wharfedale 750s
I`ve got a Wharfedale 750s (1st version).
I`m thinking of buying the Region 1 version of Charlies Angels but I understand this disk has RCE coding.
Will this work on my player ok? I have multi-region hacked it via the remote for all regions and know how to hack it to specific regions if needed.
Please help as I want to order the disk soon.
Thanks.
Cyberhome AD-M 512 - Any good?
Can anyone tell me if this play has got very good picture and sound quality? (Not many reviews around!)
I also believe it can be multiregion hacked and Macrovision disabled, is that true also? Any problems with RCE?
I can get one for £150 but need to be sure first that it is of decent quality. Seems to play just about all types of discs!
Quick replies appreciated.
Thanks.
Pioneer DV535 v Cyberhome AD-M512?
I have a chance of either buying the Pioneer for £180 (Region free) or the Cyberhome (also Region free) at £150.
I know the Cyberhome can be made to play RCE discs without too much fuss but the Pioneer cannot apparently. However, I presume that the Pioneer will have better picture and sound quality.
Which do I go for? Is the Cyberhome of a similar picture quality or is the Pioneer the one to go for at the expense of compatibility problems with some discs in future?
All advice welcome.
Logix3000 - What do you think?
Just been out and bought an LG Logix3000 player for £150. It seems good to me, playing every disc I throw at it. It has been all region enabled out of the box and i`ve tested it with R1 discs too which play perfectly.
Although the picture quality & sound seem excellent to me, I havn`t really seen many other players working. How does the quality of mine compare to the nearest competition? I havn`t seen many with all the features this has.
I`d be glad for a few opinions, but go easy!
Macrovision hack needed for Logix3000
Please can anyone advise me of the hack for macrovision removal for this player.
thanx
