When is Shaun Of Dead DVD Being Released?

TOM ROBERTS (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Monday, 5th July 2004, 10:25

Does anybody know the release date for Shaun Of The Dead on Region 2 DVD?
I expect it to be around September or October as DVD are normally released about 5 or 6 months after its cinema release. I was wondering if any date had been announced and if there was any mention about what sort of features we can expect on the DVD.
I loved the film when I saw it in the cinema and it was the best british film I have seen in a long while!

Apparently Simon Pegg was walking around the pub set chatting to the extras with his video camera. as 2 of my friends were amongst said extras, we`re all hoping this footage is included as a behind-the-scenes featurette

I have just seen on DVD answers that the release date is confirmed as the 6th of September so just over a month to wait!

The extra sound really good as well as they include an audio commentary by Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright, a second commentary by Pegg and co-stars Nick Frost, Dylan Moran, Kate Ashfield and Lucy Davis, a third with stars Bill Nighy and Penelope Wilton and a fourth by the zombies themselves!
The disc will also feature extended bits with commentary, outtakes, a Man Who Would Be Shaun feature in which Simon Pegg and Nick Frost impersonate Sean Connery and Michael Caine and a new Funky Pete sequence in which Pete`s swearing sequence is re-dubbed.
Three comic strip sequences will fill in some of the plotholes (such as how did Ed get from the cellar to the shed) and a TV Bits feature which carries extended versions of the TV shows within the movie (Coldplay on T4, It`s a Knockout Zombies, Trisha etc). Completing the set will be A Raw Meat making of featurette, five trailers and TV spots, three Zombie pic galleries, a storyboard comparison and a Zomb-O-Meter trivia track.

The extras sound great for it!
