Page 1 of Alien vs Predator Region 3
DVDs & Films Forum
Looking at the extras. Seems the Extended Cut is 2 Minutes longer than the Theatrical. I thought I read somewhere that the Extended Cut was going to be as much as 40 minutes longer and more bloodthirsty. Possibly Cert. 18.
The extended version only includes a new introduction. No more gore was added.
And despite what Anderson has said, most evidence shows that the film was shot PG-13. There is a lot of footage that was deleted, so it`s not unreasonable to expect an extended version.

The Region 3 release has more extras than Region 1.
Loads more it seems.
I was going to buy R1 but I saw the R3 was cheaper and available earlier so I bought it instead.
And the original intro is cool, they should`ve left it in. It ties in nicely with the scene in Predator 2 when Danny Glover is given the antique pistol.
I know everybody thought this film sucked but if I thought it was okay.
Closer...now there`s a film that sucks glans.
Hey! I liked it.
I thought it would be a load of drose, but was pleasantly suprised by the film :D
Willl now add it to my Alien film collection.
As for when it comes in on the time line of Alien/Predator films, It must be nearer the Two Predator films as they are around todays timeline rather than any of the four Alien pictures which are all set in the future.
The timeline is supposed to be:
Predator > Predator 2 > Alien vs Predator > Alien > Aliens >Alien 3 > Alien Resurrection
RE: Alien vs Predator Region 3
There is no extra gory Directors Cut, all those rumors were started but a single post by someone who said they had attending a screening of the film where Anderson took Q&A but there has never been any proof it took place and Anderson has said in recent interviews that there is no Directors Cut and the film that was released is what he intended all along but he said he would liked to have seen the original opening scene restored for the DVD and it has been so unless Fox decide to stick all the Deleted Scenes back into the film I doubt we will see an Extended Cut.
Just picked up AvP (R1) from the dvd rental.. i`m expecting it to be a popcorn movie from what i`ve read on the net...
