SFBANKS (Competent) posted this on Thursday, 24th March 2005, 11:24

Anyone who is interested you can now book tickets for EpisodeIII at the UGC cinemas, Odeon and UCI. Do not know about others.

does not look like any midnight showings near me, so I booked 10.15am on the 19th

Can`t wait!

Warner/Vue cinemas are booking also, got my tickets for 9am :)
There are NO midnight showings :( Pretty P*ss poor if you ask me. Wonder if it has to do with the Yanks wanting to see it around the same time as us Brits??

Thought the cinemas would be going all out with it being the last film, but obviously not :/

Midnight screenings are never advertised nationally, they`re sort of `unofficial`.

Either way, I`ll be seeing it loads of times and will rank up loads of tickets on my UGC Unlimited Card :D

I remember Ep1 going to midnight showing only dozen or so ppl in cinema, my mate had booked tickets few days before, as mentioned earlier, he had just gone to cinema asking for earlist showing, they said midnight was available!

Ep2 was different midnight showings were available from same time as all other showings cos i boked tix for me and mates at midnight, then late afternoon for me and gf.

cinema was fully booked midnight and day showings

Cheers for OP 10:45am is good, booked time off work months ago, wow I`m sad ;)

I`ve booked via phone to speak to some-one ( I hate booking online auto-attendent, as you can get shoved on end of isle)

they guy said 10:45 is earliest, they`re not doing a midnight because of it being Thursday, rather than Friday. I didn`t argue, but wasn`t that the case last film so mnidnight showing was Wednesday night/Thur morning?

Never mind, got my "superior" middle of middle seats :)

cheers again OP

Found this on a Star Wars fan site :

Quote:
Many UK fans have been extremely disappointed at not being able to book tickets for midnight screenings of `Revenge of the Sith`.

Ster Century have indicated that Fox are restricting the midnight screenings, and while they may change their minds, exhibitors don`t want to risk taking bookings then having to offer refunds.

UCI have indicated that there will be no midnight screenings because of complications with the Orange Wednesday promotions, where cinema goers gets 2 tickets for the price of 1 on Wednesday.

My guess is that the cinemas and Fox can`t agree on how much revenue Fox should receive for the midnight screenings BECAUSE of the Orange Wednesday promotions.

Midnight screenings are always 00:01, so it`s going to be Thursday. Seems a bit strange. I`m sure some cinema is Edinburgh will have a midnight screening, the UGC there don`t seem to care too much about rules :D

ILL probably wait till Saturday Morning 10.30 as the last 2 films only had about 5 people in at that time and I cant see there been more of a rush on! So therefore cant see the point of pre-booking :o
