I see that the first dvd is availabe now for the simpson. About time.

Two things to say :

(1) WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO! Hamburger moved the thread (cheers mate) !

(2) It`ll have all those poorly drawn Tracy Ullman shorts on - collectors items or what ? Sadly the first series was only in 2-channel stereo, and I seem to recall the picture quality (and Homer`s voice) was very lame.

However, if this is the start of all the episodes being released, who cares - gotta start somewhere. And it`s a much better way of doing it than the lame-assed `4 episodes on video` which was the most blatant rip-off ever.

Yes it is about time for these to be released on DVD. My life will now be complete!

The only draw back, if the report on www.animationondvd.com is true, is that Fox are only planning to release two seasons a year. This means it`ll take ages to collect the full set `cos I think we`re on the 11th or 12th at the moment.

Oh well, at least we`ll be getting Futurama soon too.
