Page 1 of Batman Begins...... So what do you think??

thought id pop to see it after work as i couldnt wait till the weekend. and oh my god it really blew me away. really didnt expect them to nail the comic vision of batman, but imo they have done the best version of batman to date!

and i wont spoil anything but theres a couple of nice twists!!

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!!! by far the best movie ive seen so far this year, even better than star wars!! i cannot find fault with it. i would even go as far to say that its the greatest super hero movie ever made. the depth of characters and narration was unlike anything ive seen in a comic book movie before. the acting was fantastic with many stand out performances. the action didnt disappoint either with many spectacular set-pieces. its was a staggering achievement and im glad to say that the batman franchise has well and truly been rescued

I can`t get to the cinema until next week, but I can`t wait - it looks awesome! :D

I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.

Mr Friez (sic) is Victor Friez i.e. his real name. He was a scientist who went to extremes for his wife.

I`ve just read the review over at Dark Horizons. Final paragraph:

Wow! I wanna see it!!!!

I thought it was excellent - Christopher Nolan brings more depth to Bruce Wayne, the film is dark in a way that Burton`s and Schumacher`s weren`t, Christian Bale is perfect in the lead and the rest of the cast are all ideal in their roles. I agree with everything Kim Newman said in her review at Empire. The best Batman film yet.


My Top 20 Horror Movies ---- My DVD Collection

Firstly a few clear ups. Kim newman is no woman. Thats a man, man. Actually a very, very hairy man, who is a sci-fi/horror author who also writes excellent sci-fi columns for magazines and stuff. He used to have a regular column on BBCFilm, but he seems to have stopped now. Still worth a read though.

Secondly, Jack Napier (the Joker) only killed BW`s parents in the Tim Burton version. This was to give BW an emotional connection with the Bad Guy, rather than him just being some random evil geezer. In every other incarnation it was indeed JC who killed them (not Mr Freeze ;))

Thirdly, this is probably the best film ive seen this year and for me rates rates second, possibly ties for first, with The Crow as my favourite comic book adap. It is totally awesome.
