Of all the DVD covers (including the original trilogy) this is by far the best. But what bugs me is it`s still sh*t compared to the theatrical posters.

I found all 3 of the recent Star Wars films s***!

I`ll stick with the first original 3 and forget the others exist.

I actually like the dvd cover - obviously I would have preferred the original movie poster, but the dvd cover does look very.... dare I say, cool! 8) And it fits in nicely with the other movies dvd covers.

Can`t wait until November! Is there going to be an extended cut/version released anytime?

I have to say, that I am slightly torn.

Ive got the box set of the OT and EP 1 and 2 so im trying to decide whether to bite the bullet and buy EP3 when it comes out or rip myself a copy of them and pimp them out on ebay while they are still worth something, in anticipation of the disgustingly inevitable 30th anniversary `super re-digitised all singing all dancing (literally) mega ninja` boxset.

If I buy the stand alone ep3, I will feel like a sucker when the Boxset comes out. If I sell everything in anticipation, when I buy the box set, I will feel so dirty.....

I`m the same. I have the OT boxset and Eps 1+2 separate. My intention is to get the Episode III DVD when it comes out at Halloween and that`s the end of it for me. Lucas can p*** off after that if he thinks I`ll be buying any more of his super enhanced re-digi-ruined boxsets.

My advice is to calm the inner consumer animal that insists you spend more money on ever more disappointing crap, and draw a line under it all.

For the guy who said he isn`t buying any of it and just has the Original Trilogy: I wish I`d done the same, but we`re in now, unfortunately. My kid loves the new trilogy, so it`s required buying for me I`m afraid. But in hindsight I wish I`d never seen/got any of the new trilogy. Lucas couldn`t have disappointed any more if he`d turned Star Wars into On The Buses. In fact I might have preferred it!

I agree that the OT is better than the PT for 20-40 year old because that is what we grew up with.

But as Mark says, Kids love the PT. You should try re-watching the PT through the eyes of a child. You will enjoy it much more.

We should all stop bashing lucas and give him credit where credit is due. He has a great imagination and has made A LOT of money from Star Wars. Everyone here would do the same and flog it to death.

Remember the new PT is not aimed at 20-40 year olds. It is primarily aimed at young children.
