Page 1 of Batman Boxset WON`T be on region 2!

This is very disappointing news. I have been told by someone who has called Warner`s PR company that the S.E. Boxset will not be released on region 2 DVD, only on region 1, the only boxset being released on region 2 is one containing the normal editions. This seems very stupid, as well as selfish and unfathomable. Why would Warner not want to release it on any other region?

If anyone has any contrary info please let me know!

Considering 2 of the films are cut on R2 you would be better off with R1 anyway.

OK, then, can someone tell me, (if it is yet known), what kind of Boxset the region 1 `Anthology` is? I mean, does is just include each movie in its dvd case? (As they are available separately), or, does it just house the loose discs, not in the cases?

My guess would be that it simply houses the DVDs in their plastic amaray cases.

I think the boxset will house the four movies exactly how you can buy them seperately (ie. in their seperate dvd cases). It does look a very nice box/slipcase and works out quite a bit cheaper than if you were to buy each one seperately. Look at it this way - we`ll be getting "Batman And Robin" almost for free (which is about the correct value... ;) ).
