Boogie Nights - region 2 S.E.?

I know you`ll all tell me to buy the region 1 DVD, but I do not have multi region capability yet. So, does anyone know, will Boogie Nights ever receive the S.E. it has had on all other regions in the UK?

Also, any news on a new 2 Disc release of L.A. Confidential - it needs one sooooo badly.

Yes, I fully realise that this movie already has an SE, but it is so old and has so few extras, that it hardly qualifies as an SE any more; having only a couple of brief featurettes and text extras. I think it is high time that this movie, one of the very best of the decade (perhaps the best, along with Pulp Fiction), got a really lavish 2 disc SE release. Anyone agree?

Does anyone know if there is one in the works?

Um, Stantz, I am talking about the region 2 Batman Returns, not the region 1 Batman Begins!

Although I have not bought it yet, and definitely won`t if this is true, I have heard from many people who bought the region 2 S.E. DVD of Batman Returns that the commentary is totally missing from disc 1!!!

I have heard that it may have something to do with it not being in sync with the rest of the film due to the cuts made by the BFFC. This is just ridiculous! How can Warner advertise it on the DVD when it isn`t even there?!

I hope to God that Warner are going to sort this out quick!!! This is nothing but absolute incompetence.

Has anyone other region 2 buyer had this problem?

ok, now that the final specs for this release have been confirmed, I want to know, how the hell will the Q&A tracks on disc 4 work? I mean, they obviously won`t run alongside the movies as they originally did on the region 1 boxset, so whats the deal? Will they just play against a blank screen?

Back to the Future 4 DVD Boxset question

OK, so that the specs for the upcoming Back to the Future 4 DVD boxset have been announced, I have a question, firstly, will these be the correctly framed versions? And another thing, how the hell will the Q&A audio tracks on disc 4 work? Obivously they won`t run alongside the movies like they did in the original region 1 boxset, so, will they just be played against a blank screen or what?

OK, then, can someone tell me, (if it is yet known), what kind of Boxset the region 1 `Anthology` is? I mean, does is just include each movie in its dvd case? (As they are available separately), or, does it just house the loose discs, not in the cases?

My guess would be that it simply houses the DVDs in their plastic amaray cases.

Batman Boxset WON`T be on region 2!

This is very disappointing news. I have been told by someone who has called Warner`s PR company that the S.E. Boxset will not be released on region 2 DVD, only on region 1, the only boxset being released on region 2 is one containing the normal editions. This seems very stupid, as well as selfish and unfathomable. Why would Warner not want to release it on any other region?

If anyone has any contrary info please let me know!

Am I to understand then that the DVDs won`t be in a box set for region 2? That`s too bad. Oh, well.

Also looks as though BR and BF are not uncut...shame.

Will region 2 receive the `Anthology` boxset like region 1, as I have not seen any mention of it anywhere. Does anyone know? Or will region 2 users have to buy the DVDs separately?

I was under the assumption that Schumacher was providing a lengthier cut for `Forever`, however, as I have seen from the list of extras featured, there seems to be no mention of it. Can we expect it or not?

New `Back to the Future` 4 disc set?

I was just scanning www.play.com, when I noticed that a new BTTF box set (region 2) is slated for a release in October. This time, is is claimed to be a 4 disc box set,as opposed to the previous 3 disc set. Does anyone have any info on this? Anything regarding extras?

The Fly (1986) and The Fly 2

I have seen on play.com, that both these films are soon to be released, however, as of yet at least, there are no special features listed. Does anyone know if these new releases will be special editions? Will they feature any extras we have not seen before?

Batman series S.E. DVD`s - October

I just checked out www.play.com, and these movies are all going to be released on October 3rd. However, there aren`t any special features listed yet. Does anyone else have any inof on the DVD`s? Is there any news about them on this site?

There is a special `Uncut Killer Edition` of this movie being released soon on region 1, however, what I wanted to know is, does anyone have any info on whether or not it will be released on region 2 as well?

Batman (1989) and Casino SE`s?

Batman (1989) has been certified by Warner that it will be released in a Special Edition DVD to coincide with Batman Begins, but apart from that, we don`t know when it will come out, or have any ideas of special features. Does anyone have any info or links to sites with info? Or, is there any news about it on this site?

Also, anyone got any info on the upcoming SE of Scorsese`s `Casino`?
