Page 1 of Two Star Trek Questions
DVDs & Films Forum
1) Does anybody know if all the Star Trek films will be released on LE disks or have they already been and I just missed out.
I have got Undiscovered Country, Voyage Home and Final Frontier, but cannot find the others.
2) Are the TOS, TNG, VOY & DS9 episodes going to be released on DVD and when?
Thanks guys
Chris
RE: Two Star Trek Questions
I hope they never EVER release VOY on any format. The whole series ruined the Star Trek story lines. The only good charactor and actor is the EMD.....he is really good in First Contact....hehe.
Don`t know of any release dates for the others :( I would like to see the TNG because it`s the best :) I bet they release the new Star Trek `Enterprise` on DVD as they run the new series :(
Anyway, enough griping by me......
....in short as far as I know there are no Star Trek DVD`s due for release.
Hope this helps?!

1) Only Undiscovered Country, Voyage Home and Final Frontier have been released in the LE silver cases. Paramount are not releasing the next gen films in those cases.
2) Yes Paramount intend to release them all, it`s been taking time due to remastering. They will be released in season boxsets in R2. The first will be Voyager (as it`s the best selling ST series in the UK and other European countries). Voyager Season 1 will be released early next year.
I read there are plans to release Star Trek: The motion picture on DVD as a special directors edition with extra footage etc. I dont know the exact details though. And at the moment the site appears to be down, but there is art work in the PC desktops area for the new version.
Also ST:TOS is available on region 1 from play247 for £17:99 each.
found this on the region1 Motion picture release

RE: Two Star Trek Questions
Wow, at least one Trek film with extras. Sadly no isolated score :-(
RE: Two Star Trek Questions
Rumour is that all the other movies are going to be re-released in sequence as 2-disc LEs; it makes perfect sense from a commercial point of view. They`re hoping to grab you twice...
