A question about Trainspotting ` Flipper` disk.

petetiley (Competent) posted this on Wednesday, 29th August 2001, 16:16

I have just bought trainspotting for a tenner and I note that it has both the 4:3 and 16:9 version on each side. I want to watch the 16:9 version. Can anyone tell me as I have never encountered a dual disk, does the 16:9 label face up or down.

Stupid question to some but I have never purchased a film with this option before now.

thanks,

Pete.

The label should face up.
Or try both sides and see which one produces 16:9 and then you`ll know.

The label always faces up, whether the disc is double or single sided. If you want to play the 16:9 version, put it in the tray with the 16:9 label facing up.

By the way, strictly speaking it`s not a flipper... a flipper is a DVD where the film is split across both sides, i.e. you have to turn the disc over half way through to see the second half of the film.
