Can anybody tell me if you can get a copy of T2 as a stand alone copy and not as a boxed set, Many thanks.

Stand alone copy? What do you mean? And why do you not want a boxed set? The region 2 Terminator 2 release won`t come in the metal container as far as I know, which theoretically just makes it a normal DVD, although I wouldn`t call the R1 release a boxed set - it`s just a metal sleeve really. If it`s price you are worried about, you can buy the R1/R2 DVD from www.Play247.com for £17.99 - which is cheap for the amount of bonus things you get, and the great quality of the DVD`s, menus etc. If you have the facility for playing Region 1 DVD`s, I`d order the American version, as you do get this Limited Edition metal sleeve, and an information booklet.

As far as I know, the R2 version is giong to be in the tin box for a limited pressing of about 2000, (there may have been a couple more zero`s but you get the jist.) but it`s not going to have the seamless branching feature of the R1 version. (apparently)

The R2 version of The Terminator has been out for ages, why would they re-make it again but in a limited edition tin? doesnt make sense.

I Think the confusion here is that I thought the thread was about `Terminator 2`, and not "The Terminator` (1). From seeing `R2`, I thought I was seeing T2 as well!

`The Terminator` is available as an R2 DVD with 2 discs - the first with the movie (which is brilliant quality - picture and sound), the second with all the bonus material - deleted scenes, making-of, pictures, additional information etc. I dont think because it has 2 discs this warrants it be called a box-set does it? A version of `The Terminator` was available as an R1 DVD a few years ago but was just a single disc. This wasn`t cleaned up and enhanced to anywhere near the quality of the current R2 release!
