OK I seem to remember some gossip about the dvd playing this film in chronological order but only in France.
Is it true that it only works on the French version or does it work on the region 1 version aswell?
If it only works on the french version I take the actual film is still in english and can be played without subtitles (ie works like a normal english dvd)?
Thanks
someone must be having you on mate......why would the dvd play forwards when the whole idea of the film is to play backwards?..
that said....for such a great film, the dvd releases here & in the states are very very poor extras wise!
Can`t understand the hype around the chronological order play.
It`s just like hearing music backwards.
Have you ever watched a movie using the rewind w/image method? Found it exciting?
The film wasn`t meant to be watched this way.
If you want to watch anything on chronological order, pick any other movie, not Memento.
Don`t screw this movie. You`ll lose, it`ll lose. What`s the point?

Your right Han. There was originally an option going to be added to watch the film "backwards", but it got dropped for some reason.
I would have liked to have seen it added as well. Shame.
RE: Memento
it`s also on sky box office at the end of this month (before its available on retail)
It does exist - but only one the french version.
GOT THAT?
its on my canadian region 1 from play.
KID BRUNCH:
"It does exist - but only one the french version.
GOT THAT?"
MITCH316:
"its on my canadian region 1 from play."
So if I buy the R1 DVD from Play247 I will get the one that includes the option to watch it chronological order. Is this correct?
Also more chronological madness: in the United Arab Emirates `Pulp Fiction` was completely re-edited to remove all of the intercutting withthe three stories just being told one after another, the Vincent/Jules/Bonnie thing was first and the film ended with the gold watch story. These crazy people!
yep buy from play 24/7 for the chronological special feature.
If I were you I`d mail Play first to confirm - they may have a US version now - mind you the listing shows subtitles in French, so it`s likely that it`s the Canadian one.
