Heath Ledger has been cast as The Joker. I don`t see it, but you know, I trust Nolan.
Batman Begins is by far the best comic book flick in my opinion, and I LOVE the title, The Dark Knight, for the sequel.

Has Heath Ledger definitely been cast as The Joker? (it has been a rumour for some time...). I don`t know... I`ll have to see his peformance before judging him. And as Chewie says, I`m sure Nolan knows what he is doing... :)

Ryan Philippe has apparently been cast as Harvey Dent, who we all know later becomes Two-Face.
But it`s from IMDb news, so that`s far from definite (actually, since IMDb have reported first, it`s probably false :p ).

Heath Ledger as the The Joker - I can`t see him in the role myself but as mentioned above i`m sure Nolan knows what he`s doing
Ryan Phillipe as Two-face - ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
Phillipe S Hoffman as The Penguin - Now that i can definatly imagine.
Full story from IMDB :/
Phillippe Lands Two-Face Role?
Ryan Phillippe may be set to take over from Tommy Lee Jones after reportedly landing the role of Harvey Dent/Two-Face in the upcoming Batman Begins sequel. Reese Witherspoon`s husband will join Heath Ledger, who has signed on to play The Joker, and new Batman Christian Bale in The Dark Knight. Crash star Phillippe beat Liev Shreiber and Josh Lucas to the role of the scheming district attorney, played by Jones in 1995 movie Batman Forever, according to internet reports. Academy Award winners Sir Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman have also joined the cast, while fellow Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman is in talks to play The Penguin in the new film.

Update from Dark Horizons
Quote:
Don`t get too excited Bat-fans, nothing confirmed as yet in regards to who will be playing Harvey Dent in the upcoming "Batman Begins" sequel.
Rather Latino Review has some very important pieces of casting news related to the film today, notably who will NOT be making it into the film.
First off - NO PENGUIN. The shooting draft of the script will not involve either The Penguin or his other moniker Oswald Cobblepot. For months the Penguin, in the form of a European arms dealer, has long been talked about as having a small role.
Secondly - NO KATIE HOLMES. Her character of Rachel Dawes IS in the film, but the filmmakers are now actively searching for a replacement to take on the part.
Holmes` representative tells The Wall Street Journal that "Katie was offered ["Dark Knight"] but was unable to accept the role because of scheduling conflicts. She was in the process of negotiating for another project". That project is Queen Latifah`s "Mad Money".
Other minor roles in the film will include an East European mobster, an Elizabeth Pena-style Latina cop, and an Asian male accountant.
Finally - Harvey Dent is in the film but still no word on casting. At last word Jamie Foxx and Ed Norton are the latest names the filmmakers are said to be interested in for roles.
The film began pre-production two weeks ago and is on course for a March start of shooting.
Can`t see Ed Norton even considering, does he still have on film left on that deal he was tied into that made him do The Italian Job and Red Dragon? (don`t have a clue which studio did them)
