Horror recommendations please..

Moo.. (Elite) posted this on Wednesday, 1st November 2006, 17:51

I have two weeks off work to recover from an operation and I`m in the mood for some serious horror films! So far I`ve watched Cannibal Holocaust, Zombi 2 and The Omen remake. Can anyone recommend some really scary or gruesome horror movies??

Switchblade Romance is pretty good, and horrific at times. Have you seen that? By the way, I`ve got two weeks off work due to an operation too. Snap! :D

I`ve lined up a s*** load of things to watch. Going through Entourage Season 1 at the mo.

I also thought Zak Snyders remake was ace too.

Cheers guys. Fancy Swichblade Romance actually. Is Braindead that Peter Jackon film where some guy goes at a load of zombies with a Lawnmower?

The Fly (remake)
Hellraiser (It will trear your soul apart!)
Child`s Play (as many as you can hack)
Cube (and the sequels if it`s your thing)
From Dusk till Dawn (George Clooney in a vampire movie - gotta be seen to be believed!)
Jeepers Creepers
Puppet Master
Nightmare on Elm Street (Johnny Depp versus Freddy Krueger - classic!)
Scream (If you want to jump out of your chair a few times, it`s great fun!)
Event Horizon (Sci-Fi Horror a la Alien)
Cabin Fever
Creep

Never has having an operation seemed so inviting! Enjoy!!! :D

As discussed before, Switchblade Romance is lame beyond belief ;)

And, since im being critical:

I still cannot beleive that the Omen only warrants an `Honourable Mention` and s*** like the Blair Witch Project get into your YTMND top 20. Call yourself a film snob.....;)

Since im here, Im a huuuuuuuuuuuge cronenberg fan so Rabid, Shivers, Videodrome, The Brood (excellent performance from Oliver Reed), Scanners, Naked Lunch and The Dead Zone. Existenz is also a good precursor to the Matrix, so is certainly worth a watch.

Hell, I would even go so far as to say he is the best thing in Nightbreed (which is also worth a watch).
