Free Multi-Region PC DVD Software (Sort Of)

Johnny Utah (Elite) posted this on Thursday, 1st November 2001, 20:28

I don`t watch many DVD`s on my PC but Installed "Interactual 2.0" DVD Player off my R1 Swordfish DVD, seems to play R1 discs without a problem even though my Pioneer Drive is set to R2. My copy of PowerDvd won`t let me play R1 so I was quite surprised.

Hope this helps anyone who`s being having problems. Obviously not totally free, but if you buy a disc or borrow one off someone that has the "Interactual" Software it could come in handy.

Well, I`ve got the Phantom Menace Region 1 which comes with this software and installed on my DVD drive (which is apparently multi region anyway, but it doesn`t work that way!) and it refuses to play any of my R1 DVDs...
