Pursuit of Happyness - Don`t watch if you value your masculinity

By God.. that was a hard movie to watch.. Will Smith reaches a new level with his career, as he produces a heart wrenching and dare I say it.. oscar worthy performance...

I`m just glad I didn`t go to the cinema to see it!.. it was hard enough being in tears in front of the wife!... (damn you .. British Stiff Upper Lip) ..

Oh.. and the fresh prince`s son is also brilliant..

Love it when his son tells the joke about the guy in the boat. :D

It pulls at those heart-strings for about 99% of the movie; it`s a tough watch but at the same time easy to persvere with because you know its all going to turn it well. :)

A very good performance by Will Smith, but I`m not sure if its good as Leo`s in Blood Diamond.

I`m going to watch blood diamond tonight... but I would think that Forrest Whitaker has a good chance for his amazing portrayl of Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland..

Have to agree, it was pretty great. Pretty tough watch and proves Will Smith as a great actor again and not just a performer. Also proves he is unstoppable at the box office :D

I hope he gets a nomination.

I gotta be in the minority here then. I thought it was a good film, but a tear jerker? please!

It was a little devoid of emotion for me, with the most emotional bits shown in the trailer. I agree, fantastic performance by Will Smith, but just not oscar worthy yet.

I was expecting a really tough film to watch, with you feeling for every move that was forced on them. I dont think that the makers got as far down to the nitty gritty as they could have done.

You may know this is based on the story of Chris Gardner...who goes from being ok to very very poor to bottom out, but never gives up, keeps a positive attitude and who finally succeeds. It is a very stressful film if you have had humble beginnings. What I really liked
is it is based on what appears to be a great American story indeed. The toughness of life at the bottom and a man's passion to better ones self is told well. My kid liked it, wife liked it ,Thumbs up here too. For more on the real story of Chris Gardner see link below.

May I tell you to f*** off before Ben does?

Sorry if you are not, but your first post reeks of some junior PR knob out there spamming the forums for publicity
