Page 1 of Die Hard 4.0 (short review)
DVDs & Films Forum
Not bad. Suspension of Disbelief flies out of the window with the jet sequence. Justin is fantastic, Kevin`s ok, his daughter looks pretty and that`s about it, and Bruce lied.
SPOILER:
Yippie-Kay-Yay mother-(Gunshot)
PG-13 my arse. lots of `s***s` though

I saw it Sunday, I really enjoyed it, extremely silly, it has all the over the top stunts of Die Hard 2 and all the frenetic action of Die Hard with A Vengeance, I can`t believe it`s a PG 13 in America the fight scene with Maggie Q is quite brutal.
I know that when watching a Die Hard film, I'm not going to expect a thought provoking character driven film, just a slam bang wall to wall action, and this film delivers right from the start, and never let's up.

She`s a total hard bitch baddie, and Bruce gets his arse kicked all over the place, but don`t worry it`s not like the stupid end fight between Jet Li, Gibson and Glover in Lethal Weapon 4, Willis does find a novel way of.... ;)

Quite enjoyed this. Much better than Die Hard 2, maybe just behind Vengeance, but not a patch on the original. But still, the lack of swearing didn`t actually bother me except for when dialogue didn`t match lip movements. This could either be:
A) The film has some of the worst dialogue editing/ADR
or
B) The film was shot to be R-Rated... which means oh yeah a great double dip come DVD/HD release.
Yes, the film was quite brutal... for a PG-13. Heck, still a decent blockbuster.
NOW BRING ON TRANSFORMERS :D
Just saw it and was quite pleasantly surprised, expected it to be godawful. The car / helicopter and jet scenes had me going `ho hum`, the bad guy was pretty weak but Bruce was McClane, Long was amusing and Maggie Q kicked some ass - that scene was just brutal.
Big, ballsy, all out summer entertainment - even though we had to sit through Pirates 3 and Shrek 3 to get there...
Was surprised though to see that even for a `15` cert, they cut the end of `yippee kay ay mother-`.

I still wasn`t sure if i heard the yippe kay a mother f..... line fully or not. Maybe i jus wanted to hear it. It was seriosuly annoying they made this PG-13, but at least it wasn`t as bad as making AVP a PG13.
You say pyscho like its a bad thing
Saw it last night.....absolutely loved it. Went with 7 blokes and 1 girl and everybody thought it was excellent. I wasn`t sure he`d still be Mclane after all these years but he really pulled it out the bag, I`d go as far to say this is the 2nd best in the series after the 1st one (obviously). Yeah the story is a bit weak (there`s one in there somewhere) but this is one seriously funny film with more Mclane one liners than you can poke a stick at 8)
"Dont mention the zed word"
How can anyone take this guy serious, let alone watch him in a `Bravado` film when the coward wouldn`t even fly to the UK after 9/11. I flew at that time.

That`s cos he was acting, you see the Die Hard films are a work of fiction, just the same as Alan Rickman isn`t really a German terrorist.

simply bored witless by the entire saga of Luke Skywalker.... I thought Star Wars was dull, Empire was better, Jedi was worse
