Gus and Duncan`s Comprehensive Guide to Star Wars Collectibles Hardcover
Quote:

The largest and most complete guide on Star Wars memorabilia ever assembled, covering more than 75,000 unique Star Wars collectibles illustrated with over 36,000 photos.

I`ve ordered it, but hope

a) the missus doesn`t see it and say "haven`t you got one of those in the spare room" over and over again ;)
b) My parents don`t come round and see it, look through it and say "haven`t you got one of those in our loft still" over and over again ;)

It`s a lot of money for a book ($115inc p&p and I`ll probably get stung for customs, or does that not apply on books? it doesn`t sending out to USA) but I still have all my toys from when I was a kid, and various bits and bobs I`ve bought and been given since then so it could be an interesting read, but then as they say with most of these things, "it`s only worth what some-one else is prepared to pay for it"

do you mean a link to that book, or a link suggesting I`m buying it as a checklist ;) Just occurred to me, when it arrives, the missus may think I`ve bought the book to try to complete my collection :)

It`s funny, when we started seeing each other, Christmas and birthdays she`d buy silly little Star Wars things she saw cheap in Toys R Us, liek an inflatable Darth maul chair, and all sorts of stuff i`m too old for :) One day she looked at me as if she had an epiphany and said "I`m going to have to stop buying you this stuff"
i asked why
her response
" `cos it won`t be in your/your parents` house, it will be in our house!"

so she only had herself to blame for some of it :)

wow, it arrived today (as you said Mark no VAT customs charge ) and I`m not 1/2 the Star Wars fanboy toy collector geek my family, friends and I thought i was :B (the life size shop display Darth vader cut out and other bit and bobs in this room may suggest otherwise)

This book is great, it`s nice seeing some of the old foreign packaging, and just plain crazy things you could buy with the Star Wars logo on it!

it will take a long time to go through it, it`s Littlwoods catalogue size, but more fun than that at Christmas :)

funny you say that, as I as going to make a comparison to that, should have said "more fun than a Littlewoods catalogue pre puberty". There is Star Wars underwear in it, and some of the Princess Leia toys of removal clothes.

something like this or this maybe :)

Impressive...Most impressive :)

Thats what i need to do with the original `77 - `85 figures in my loft. Each one is bagged with the cardback, but i`d love to have them on display.

I`ve got 10 plastic containers with carded figures in from the last 3 films.

The following images are from last year before i organised my loft. The stuff shown is only around 1/4 of my collection!
