DVDs & Films Forum
I know thare are a few Kevin Smith fans here, so thoguht I`d share what I`ve just seen on dvdboxoffice website.....Coming February 26th for £31.26 is "Kevin Smith Trilogy". No more details than that at the moment. I wonder what 3 it will be? Hope this is of interest
FIRST POST:
I think somebody is having them on because there are three DVD distribution companies dealing with his films. There is Miramax (`Clerks` and `Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back`, Universal (`Mallrats`), Criterion Collection (`Chasing Amy`) and Columbia Tristar (`Dogma`). So the only way a three film boxset can happen is if one of the companies surrenders it`s distribution deal and gives it to Miramax. So does anyone know any more about this?
REVISION:
I`ve just noticed that Miramax also hold the rights to `Clerks - The Animated Series Uncensored` which brings their total of Kevin Smith DVDs up to three. So they might be releasing `Clerks`, `J&SBSB` and the `Clerks` animated series as a box set, if DVDBO is right.

Miramax has the rights to Chasing Amy.
It would make more sense if the three were clerks, mallrats and chasing amy, as the other two films have been released as two disc sets. I`ll keep my out for this boxset as it sounds like a good set.
i read on a website somewhere that kevin smith was working on a ten year anniversary 2 disc set of clerks.i believe clerks was first out in 1992, so that would make it due for release sometime this year.so i wouldn`t go rushing into buying any set which includes clerks at the moment.
cant remember where i saw it though.
Kevin himself announced the `Super Duper Special Edition Clerks 10th Aniversary DVD` when discussing the details for the Jay & Silent Bob DVD. More details here: http://www.viewaskew.com/news/nov01/1.html
