Page 1 of sound on TOMB RAIDER
DVDs & Films Forum
i thought after hacking my player i had done something wrong to it.
but having read reviews and just watch the movie it is no my player it is the sound on tomb raider
anyone else found that the levels are all wrong
i think it is the worst DD dvd i have
the music score is too loud compared too the speech, and the effects sound numb
a pile of rc[at]p that has cused me too spend 2 days playing around with my set up thinking it was my system that was at fault
anyone else found this or is it old news
Read quite a few reviews that say the same thing. Still, who cares about the sound when you can look at Angelina Jolie in the shower.

I have Tomb raider on region 2 and its fine. Thought it was pretty good sound and the speech level is spot on. My DVD player (scan sc2000) has a function were you can adjust the volume of speech but i suppose most of them have anyway.

I had a R2 review copy of Tomb Raider, and the 5.1 mix was totally screwed up. Dialogue was way too low, and the music and and effects levels were off too. Film is a load of rubbish as well, so I traded it for Memento ;-)
Can`t say I`ve noticed any such problems with my R1 copy. Speech, effects and music sound OK to me. The only criticism I had of the sound is that the fight against the robot at the start of the movie could have been a bit more aggressive soundwise --- the robot simply doesn`t sound as big and powerful as I think it should.
Cheers,
Steve
Who gives a flying s***e? I`m with Neon on this one, turn it down, grab your walkman & a box of kleenex, & enjoy!!!!!!!!!
