It`s.... incredible.

Breathtaking.

The CGI is beyond anything I`ve seen before, so seamlessly interwoven into the visual of the film it`s easy to forget those guys aren`t even there.

The concept of this film is incredible, and it`s hard to descibe. Racism and stereotypes are brought to the fore, but on a bizarre scale. The hero of the film, Vickers, is one for the books. Although his development is initially obvious, some aspects of it is alarming, until you remember where this film is set.

Which surprised me, actually. I knew Sth Africa was an incredibly f***ed-up area of the planet, but the honesty with which they depict areas of their city (albeit through the metaphor of a mass alien infestation) was quite enlightening.

If there`s a criticism to be made, it`s an unfair one. South Africa hasn`t exactly been at the forefront of modern movie-making litany, so to claim that Vickers` exo-skeleton battle suit comes straight out of MGS and Appleseed can be over-critical, when all`s said and done, this is the best piece of film-making I`ve seen since....

I really can`t end that sentence.

thought it was a fantastic idea with the racism/politics and the beginning of the movie being blair witchite/documentary worked but when they tried to turn it into an action movie i frankly lost the will to live, the acting was very poor, plot holes were HUGE (cant comment further but i think ull get what i mean) so a bit bla for me and completely overhyped

It hasn`t really been hyped at all. I only heard about it by accident and it`s not like it`s had a major ad campaign.

. Totally. The only way I`ve heard of this was through apple trailers. The acting from the main lead was brilliant for someone who`s never acted before (apart from the short film that led to this movie) and the plot was cohesive and well thought out, IMHO.
