Evil Dead Book Of The Dead R1 vs R2

Is there any difference between the R1 & R2 releases? I keep reading conflicting reports.

Is there going to be two different R2 versions, a one disc & two disc version?

The current r1 version is in the original 4:3 aspect ratio whereas the current r2 is in a faux 16:9 format. The r1 version is being replaced with a 16:9 version like r2 and the r2 version is going to be replaced by a special edition in "book of the dead" packaging.
