Help: PowerDVD XP ver4.0

Navs (Competent) posted this on Thursday, 28th March 2002, 20:37

Hi All
Up until now I`ve been playing region 2 dvds on my PC using PowerDVD. But as soon as I put in Apocolypse Now Redux (region 1). It came up with something on the lines of Please select region. Which I did- but what worried me was the fact that it could only allow me to change regions for up to 5 times- after that- the region will be set to the last setting. What I want to know is if there is anyway around this obstruction- because- like everyone else- I want to play discs from all over the globe!
Any help appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.
Have a good one all!
Nav.

there are simple utils to help around this. If you know the model/type of your DVD-Rom player, go to: http://www.firmware.fr.st/ and download the appropriate util for it. If you don`t know what DVD-Rom player you have, there are utils there to tell you what it is.

Hey presto, hopefully you`ll get what you need. Hope this helps.
