I`m a PS2 owner but have to admit that XBOX Live looks COOL.

Anyway there`s hardly been a whisper about it in the press or on the TV and I was wondering what its actually like? Come on XBOX Live gamers!
Will it be around in 12 months time (he he)

It`s very very good.

We`ve been playing (and talking about) it for months on this forum where have you been?

It has some great games, lots of people to play with, and great hardware.
The only online console with voice support, and... oh yes IT ROCKS!

its the dogs nutts ive been on it for months as a beta tester well worth it bought loads of xb live titles only originals ive bought for this good service ghost recon is a must defo !! the ps2 will be dead n buried by the end of this year ! online decent gaming is where its @ even bill gates been online playin moto gp speccy git ! lol

I have enough trouble with games, as it is. I`m not sure I`d relish the possibility that some 9 year old kid from the other side of the world further exposes my gaming incompetence!

so what does it set you back if you don`t have broadband at the moment?

Technically nothing because well u need a broadband connection! Dont bother with it if u dont have broadband of some sort tho in saying that it may be worth it as some games such as splinter cell etc will have downloadable content so modem made be bareable for that. But yep I`ve been using it for a few months now and it is indeed great fun! :) It`s official launch was only on Friday there, thats why there hasn`t been much in the mainstream news here about it up till now.

why will it be dead The US and Japan are already online with the PS2 and we are to follow.

PS2 has Navy Seals, WE7 and GTA online to look forward too stop talking out of your arse lad.

and this is coming from an ironduke who has an xbox with indiana jones, Kung Fu Chaos, DOA Volleyball and VEXX

Just read that EA/Eidos will NOT be supporting X-Box Live, but i think there`s still enough games coming out.

Has anyone used the smaller x-box controller yet, and had any problems with lag-times etc.

The reason why EA wont be supporting it was primarily because they didn`t like the fact that MS would be hosting the servers, they`d rather host them themselves and then charge u extra for em. Unfortunately thats probably why Battlefield 1942 was canned, bah! Other than that tho EA tend not to make too many decent multiplayer games.
