Page 1 of PS2 AND BROADBAND
Gaming and Consoles Forum
I have just bought a PS2 for my Son for Christmas.I note that you can buy a network adaptor.Does this allow broadband internet surfing as well as gaming? If so,is my only task to get my telephone company NTL to provide a connection?
Hello there Caffion,
It`s fine to surf while playing online. There are afew ways to go online with the PS2 including Internet Connection Sharing or through a hub/router. I`m sure NTL will have information regarding the best option for you.

Here`s a link to the page on the NTL web site. You should find what you need to know on there. :)

Mark.
yes you ring the ntl console number located on the back of the leaflet given and you pay five pounds a month for two ip addresses or just plug and reboot your broadband :)
Are many of you guys with PS2s online - looking to get SOCOM II in the near future - how stable is the online play? much breakup?
With regards to PS2 and NTL ,i just plugged in my ethernet conector and played on. No problems. Then my next bill had a new ammount of £7.99 added for SOMETHING i did`nt order. I rang there Customer helpless line and was asked if i had added anything to my account. After saying no they just took off the ammount from my bill and nothing else has been added since, but then again i have not used online since.
This just might be a coincidence but i`ll try again and find out.
