Does Anyone Know If Xbox Will Play Any Of DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R ect.?

mine plays dvd-r dvd+r dvd+rw not tried -rw, but don`t foresee a problem, but be aware, it can depend which drive you have fitted inside the x-box as there are 4 types, the best drives are aparently made by samsung, whilst the thomson drives are a bit unforgiving (the sammy drives will also read cd-r etc)

How Do i Know What Drive I Have Installed?
I Bought My Xbox And Live in The UK.
I Have Not Modified It In Any Way

so you`re need for dvd-r etc would be primarily for movies etc ? i only ask because if it`s not modded thats all dvd`r would be good for :) (even then you would need the dvd dongle)

as for the dvd drive, if you can post a picture of the drive (whilst the tray is open) i`ll try to find out for you :)

I Don`t Mean To Be Rude But I Dont Have A Digital Camera Or Scanner, And It Is Too Expensive To Get A Film To CD Service For One Pic. Are There Any Ways Of Finding Out Without A Picture?

I was always under the impression that an unmodded xbox wont play cd-rs or dvd-rs of any kind.

Hey My Xbox Plays CD-R And CD-RW For Audio.
I Need To Know About DVD-R And DVD+R ect.
I Will Only Use These To put Standard DVD Movies On.

depends on the drive fitted, being modded does not stop the x-box playing cd`r (audio) but some drives can`t handle them, once modded if you`re drive can already read cd`r then it should have no problem with dvd`r

did that make sense ?

how do i get it modded and how much will it cost?
ps i live in uk
