I`m thinkin gof buying Star Wars Battlefront 2 for my xbox as i need a game to play now as i think my xbox 360 will be delivered late.......Does anyone know if any of the new or any other xbox games (e.g halo 2) will also be compatable with the 360 yet ?????

Star Wars Battlefront 2 isn`t currently backward compatible, no far cry instincts either. (Wonder if that means they plan to release x360 versions instead of encouraging people to buy the existing Xbox version instead?)

There`s less than half my Xbox collection on that list. I`m very surprised by the lack of The Chronicles of Riddick, Splinter Cell 1-3 and Lego Star Wars.

It all seemingly boils down to graphics hardware/compatibility issues, so I don`t know to what extent MS can pick and choose; which would explain the inclusion of the all but ignored Deathrow and yet no room at the inn for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

The US back catalogue list is a lot longer than that and encompases nearly the whole back catalogue. The euro release is substantially shorter and the japanese list consists of a mighty 14 games (which conversely is the same number of japanese people who bought an xbox).

Oh, and apparently THE WHOLE OF EUROPE is getting a massive 300,000 units, so bets are off and there is a very good chance stores will f*** off pre-orders and do a first come first served stylee. So you are probably going to be best off at small chain toy shops and places like that, apparently.

I`m going to wait outside my local Woolies (assuming they get any!) and wait for the delivery of the stock. Then I`m going to hit one of the staff (in my area, inevitably an old lady) with a pointy stick, then run home with an Xbox 360 under my arm! :D
