Page 1 of When will Playstation 2 go out of production ?

Hi - I am thinking of buying a playstation 2 console. (The 24 game looks fantastic.)
Where can i get one of under £100 ?
When will they stop being produced ?

I think they are about £100 squid now anyway, for a cheapie one go for second hand, look for gamestation, computer exchange, ebay. As for production no idea but seeing as I think we will be lucky to get the PS3 till 2007 a while yet.

If you can cough cough get hold of the network adapter for online play a nice hard drive and some cough cough hd advance s/w, it will urrmmm save your discs from being ruined when you play the game.

The 24 game is apparently... really quite awful. From what I`ve seen, it certainly lives up to that in the visual department.

It shouldn`t be too hard to pick one a PS2 for under £100. Argos have them at £99, but if you hunt around, you might find a real bargain at this stage.

75% but only 1 review so far, not too bad. From what I`ve seen, you may as well get all 3 Splinter Cell games really cheap!

they have the same 75% from above and Edge gave it 6/10 so it can`t be that bad.

Saying that, it hardly seems to be a game worth buying a console for.

As for lifetimes of PS2, well PS1 was still selling well a few years after the PS2 was released.

gamestation do the ps2 + 4 games for about £70 (second hand + limited warrenty)

hard to beat that price.

just been into gamestation & i was wrong about the warrenty, you get a full 12 month rtb warrenty on any consoles bought regardless of weather or not they are new or used :o imo,,,, thats excellent, respect...
