firstly, do you rack up gamer points when playing original xbox games or is it just 360 games :)

secondly, how do i display my gamer card ?

No gamer points for backwards compatible games.

If you want a different type of card displayed, just right click, properties on somebody elses, copy replace their gamertag with yours.

I joined up last night too, finaly got a wireless adapter. :D

Also got a few questions, how do you get the dashboard updates? do they just download automatically or do you have to find them somewhere, and where is the best (cheapest) place to buy game credits, want to download Pacman ;)

The dashboard updates happen automatically when you turn on your 360. Each time it checks if there is a newer version out, and if so, forces you to update, the next major dashboard update will be in the spring.

The cheapest place for points according to froogle is Gameplay - £16.99 for 2,100 inc. free p+p

Suppose that is not to bad, £16.99 / 2100 = just over 0.8p per credit

So Pacman being 400 credits will cost a bit over £3.20.

What is the point of Gamerpoints? Can I use to them to buy things?

I think it`s a "kudos" thing, just to show how "hardcore" a gamer you are and how many games you`ve bought. They have no real worth at all.

Heh :) even though i have about 8 games now, i`ve still only acumulated 20 gamerpoints :D
