By the way the game is class, anyone got any cars for sale?
probably just me but am finding it a bit meh! maybe I expected too much from it. Yes it looks stunning - maybe I should play online some more - just seems the season mode or whatever it`s called is a bit too squeaky clean & perfect. Will have to give it more time.
i bought it on saturday with the intention of giving it a blast over the weekend.
the kids have played it and quite enjoy it.
i haven`t touched it yet, i`ve been too busy playing uncharted 2 and FIFA 10 tbh.
maybe i`ll give it a go during the week.

Okay I have given Forza 3 a few hours now and simply can`t get into it at all. I have switched all the assists off with the exception of automatic gearbox, abs and stability. Also set the AI to hard but this has made no difference whatsoever to the difficulty level. In a car ranked in the same class and the same rating as other cars in the race I am still able to just power away from them all by the first corner. If I am not at the front by half way round the first lap I am disappointed and I am usually starting from the back of the grid!
The rewind function is just a licence to cheat imo. I don`t use it but can`t understand why its there. You don`t get the option in FIFA to take a shot at goal again because you missed it the first time, so why should you in a racing game? Its supposed to be a simulation! Gran Turismo punishes you for mistakes and its a better experience for it. Forza 3 is akin to those Go Karts kids can ride on at the fairground which have tracks so that they can`t do any damage.
Also, why am I being gifted cars every 30 seconds. "Well done, you went round a corner. Have a Maseratti as a reward". There is absolutely no need to buy cars or nurture your existing ones as after 5 races your garage is full of high spec gifts.
Disappointing.
That`s odd - I find that on the "hard" difficulty setting, that the other cars just power away from me. I don`t know if you play online, but if you`re finding the AI too easy, that`s the place to be. In Season Mode, you could try changing the damage to simulation, meaning that if your car gets pranged, it`s going to affect you for the rest of the race.
Yes, the "rewind" mode is a licence to cheat. However, if you don`t want to cheat, don`t use it. It can, however, be useful to learn a new course (ie. Do I need to take corner A in 2nd or 3rd gear?).
I`m glad to be able to amass cars during season mode, even if you are offered a new one every two or three races. You need these cars in your garage to be able to tune them for online races.

I haven`t played it yet but if there are a number of stupidly long endurance races like Forza 2 the rewind feature will be a godsend - too many races on 2 I was in the lead by a tiny amount to f*** up a corner after an hours play and need to restart. It may be technically cheating but f*** redoing the race again for it.
