Couldn`t find a suitable old one. Anyway looks interesting, if graphically about the same level as XBox360 and PS3:

I`m very excited about this console. Being a massive Mario fan, I would not want to be left behind, unable to play his new games.

There are some brilliantly innovative features on the Wii U, although I will have to keep the Wii next to it until it dies of old age, because you cannot transfer all your WiiWare and Virtual Console games over to the Wii U, and I`ve spent quite a lot of money on these, and don`t want to say goodbye to them yet.

Anyone care to speculate on the launch price? I`d be disappointed if it`s higher than £250.

I was really looking forward to getting one, for Zelda, but now I have PS3, and enough AAA games on that I haven`t got time to play can`t see me bothering now.

Some great effects in the Zelda `demo`. Supposed to be a bit beyond 360/PS3 but nothing like what will replace them. But that`s not what Nintendo have ever been about really.

My youngest son has been saving his pocket money for months and now has about £180 so he is intending to buy one on release. We can`t wait to get our hands on it!

Apparently Amazon listed the Wii U briefly for £199 and got a load of pre-orders, which is a lot cheaper than the few other places that started taking orders for it at £279.

But they`ve since pulled it down and apologised to all those who ordered saying it was a mistake.

I`m tempted to wait until it really does cost £199 or less.

I distinctly remember buying mine for £40 when they were discontinuing them way before the Wii showed up, because they weren`t selling well.

According to Wikipedia, the GC sold 21.74m units worldwide, whilst the PS2 sold 150m, and the XBox sold 24m (I remember getting that cheap for similar reasons).

Whilst I agree the Wii U doesn`t need to be cutting edge graphics wise, at the same time it has to be better than the PS3 and Xbox 360, otherwise when they are updated in the next year, it`s going to look pretty poor.
