A follow up to this is that the Football League have agreed a deal worth £90 million with Sky to show Nationwide games live. That`s £22.5 million each year for 4 years.
To put this into perspective ,considering ITV Digital tabled an offer of £78 million for this coming season and were also willing to negotiate the final seasons terms it seems quite bizarre that the Football League are willing to accept a vastly inferior offer from Sky. Any Port In A Storm springs to mind.

The Football League was cutting off it`s nose to spite it`s face. Any fool could see it was not worth the hundreds of millions it wanted from ITV Digital. Now they expect us to believe that they are over the moon with a much worse deal!
