Importing horror flicks / customs
Anyone know what the chance of customs sticking their nose into a single dvd from Amazon US (or any other R1 importer), especially if its banned in the UK? Do they open many? Are there any indicators of the contents on the label?
Cheers for any info!

RE: Importing horror flicks / customs
I have just had delivered the EVIL DEAD 2 region 1 from DVD boxoffice in canada.
Took ten days to arrive and no problems with customs.
Excellent
Sony ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

The chance would be pretty low, considering the amount of stuff they get through every day. However, it wasn`t pretty low when they siezed my long awaited copy of "I Spit On Your Grave" and sent me a letter saying they had kept it and it would be destroyed because of "unacceptable content of an explicit nature found to contravene censorship standards" - swines!
Another point though, Evil Dead 2 is widely available over here from virtually every respectable regio 2 dvd shop, and is also available on video - of course they wouldn`t be concerned about that!

Sounds like he already has a complete collection of VCD`s stuck up there. Wouldn`t waste a fiver on sh*te like that. Didn`t you already see that by the time you were 8?
